About This Show
Safety Zones presents recent works by US based Caribbean American Artists and International Artists who created works in 2007. The primary intention of the exhibition is to present and discuss works by these artists working in mixed media and new media, and to have a conversation about the political landscape in the US using the work to discuss ideas about diasporic living and the concept of safety. This exhibition is selective rather than comprehensive
We will extend our walls to include Art Center - 924 Lincoln Road- featuring Geraldo Gonzalez -Quevedo paintings, Ayanna Jolivet Mccloud performance art and Deborah Jack's photography - presently showing at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
